Pupil Premium

In 2011-12 the Government launched its Pupil Premium funding.

This money is sent to schools based on the numbers of pupils who are eligible for free school meals (FSM).   From 2012-13, this has been expanded to include all children who have been eligible for FSM within the last 6 years.

This money is allocated to initiatives which remove barriers to learning to ensure pupils reach their full potential both academically and socially.

The funding has been used to help provide:

 Educational Trips

To enhance the curriculum, ensure inclusion and equality and to give the opportunity to experience new and challenging activities

Senior Teaching Assistant Support

To help and support children in reaching their full potential in literacy and numeracy - in both class and small group support.

Class Size

Contributes towards providing a teacher for smaller groups.

Evaluation

We will monitor the progress of the eligible pupils as part of our wider tracking of individual and group progress within the school. Detailed information is available through RaiseOnline which the Headteacher will report to governors and evaluate the success of our actions with them.
